LARS ROCHA’S LAWS / INTEGER TIME
A building with
a rhythm you can explain.
Scrub through time. Follow a wave of windows. Pick a light to see its address decision and its exact tick decision.
Compose the rhythm
Gallery room and window laws determine which windows exist. The time law controls their illumination.
Window study
Eight gallery slots per row. Highest floor first.
Address × time
Click a matrix cell to inspect its address and tick. Filled cells are lit.
WHY THIS LIGHT?
Local tick = global tick − address × delay. A negative local tick has not started. A tick outside the law’s finite range is inactive.
The preview flattens all eight gallery slots into rows; it is a schedule diagram, not a literal elevation or a lighting simulation.
Playback advances five integer ticks per second and pauses when this page is hidden. Seeking computes the state directly. These lights are visual only; building geometry and collision remain unchanged. Preview range: 0–511. Delay: 0–8 ticks per address.
