PEEK INSIDE THIS LITTLE BRAIN
The WSRF river explorer ♠
Real choices reached by our simulated players. Pick a line, compare the trained models, and explore your distance map.

Inside the three little brains
Each column uses an ensemble of three WSRF models. They estimate the value of this river choice, including the following conventional play. Values are additional BB from this decision, with earlier investments already spent.
| Action | Conventional features | Added zones | Separate zone forests |
|---|
A highlighted estimate is that model’s highest-valued legal choice. The zone-feature model uses pocket and board-based distance features alongside the same conventional inputs. Scores express learned estimates; their differences can be small or uncertain.
How to use this explorer
Start with the cards, price and players still in the pot. Explore likely and unlikely maps as another way of describing the situation. Then compare what each trained model values. The map label, estimated pot share and model value each answer a different question.
These examples come from untouched test hands, with a deliberate mix of table sizes, zones and bet sizes. The outcomes show two sampled continuations per action from the same hidden deal. They illustrate what happened in those simulations; broader performance is measured across all test hands in the training notebook.
