The fuse length is a lookup, never a simulation: edge(g) reads the 49-rung table by v2(g+1).

HOW TO COUNT

The long fuses are the carries.

The counter shows g+1 in binary. When it rolls over into a high wheel, the fuse on that beat is long; the length is edge(g), rule 30's edge run, read from a table by how many low bits carried.

Tap on every beat whose fuse reaches the wheel line. Early or late by more than the window is a slip. Combo grows your points; slips cost a little and reset the combo.

Higher levels move the wheel line up the ladder, so targets are rarer and the tempo climbs. Three stars is every target, no slips.
