A FIREFLY CAN CARRY A MEMORY

Leave a light for someone.

Record up to a minute of wandering. Send your path, your tune, and a little note.

EVERY WORD IS A WORLDWhere shall we wander next?

A MUSICAL FIELD TRIP

Take the scenic route.

Click Let’s listen to turn on sound. Walk with WASD or arrow keys, or click a destination on the map. Hold Shift to hurry. On touch screens, use the arrows or tap the ground.

Follow the paths to the three cottages. When you’re close, press E or tap the prompt. Each cottage adds an instrument to the valley’s repeating song. Awaken all three, then return to the stone circle where you began for a little celebration.

Press R to send a firefly along your last footsteps. To share a walk, use Record a walk below the map. Walk for up to a minute, stop, and add your message. Your friend can follow the invitation link or open the saved journey file. Try Try a welcome walk for a first invitation. Change the light or find a rainy hour—the land stays the same. You can wade across the river, or take a bridge.

No hurry, no enemies, no wrong turns. Your discoveries are remembered in this browser when local storage is available. A new seed is a new expedition.

UNDER THE GRASS

A world by its address.

This game carries a local, unmodified copy of nedgelaw 0.3.0 from your IndexinPreview project. No CDN, account, installation, or map service is needed.

World.height with the RangeBlend recipe shapes the ground. World.villageAt supplies settlement candidates; placeName names them. Indexed hashes place trees and flowers and choose musical phrases. Almanac supplies the weather and sunState the daylight.

The river, paths, musical cottages, and hand-drawn rendering are this game’s playful interpretation. Its meadow palette and walkable ground are designed for exploration, rather than reproducing the Atlas’s biomes. The library’s original spectrum and 49-rung edge table are unchanged.

Built for Lars, in mywork. All sound is synthesized locally with Web Audio.
