A PLACE, NOT A FILE

Choose a landing.

One address on a fictional, Earth-sized sphere. Its terrain exists as a recipe—not a planet-sized download.

Terrain recipeTerrain look

Ranges & rivers puts RangeBlends' ridge law on the cube-sphere: a ridge stands where the level-20 cell index is k·2^v − 1, which is where the quadtree has an edge — the mountains sit on the address. Epic ranges is the same law at range.html's amplitude: ranges to eight kilometres, crags on the summits, calm plains. Switch recipes or looks at the same location.

SUNDIAL / ALMANAC

One place. Another moment.

World hour (longitude 0°) 12:00

Local time follows longitude.

Reading your Almanac…

Save a place and its clocks. Stored locally when available.

RangeBlends' Sundial gives the sky its hour and the Almanac its weather: one tick per world hour, local time by longitude, a stylised 06:00–18:00 daylight window. Play advances 15 world minutes per second. Terrain never changes with time.

A separate style preview

Blocky mode samples cell centers, rounds display heights down to two-meter terraces, and builds flat-colored tops with vertical sides. Smaller cells appear as you approach. Smooth preserves the original renderer; the Planet height API is unchanged.

Walking in Blocky mode follows the finest displayed terraces with automatic steps, not a gravity or collision simulation. Zoom-level changes can still pop. The angled close-up is a perspective survey, not a true isometric camera.

Two background workers build patches where supported, with a cooperative fallback. Ocean landings survey the water surface. No trees, buildings, caves, or river drainage yet—this pass is the terrain style. Your current Planet One and Atlas demos are unchanged.

Memory follows the view, not the planet's area.
